Syngenta is one of the world's leading companies with over 28,000 employees in more than 90 countries dedicated to the purpose of: Bringing plant potential to life. 
It was formed in 2000 by the merger of Novartis Agribusiness and Zeneca Agrochemical

 

What do they do?  Syngenta is involved in biotechnology and genomic research; utilizing these disciplines to address one of the world’s greatest challenges: feeding our planet. They help farmers and growers around the world grow more from less by using technology to transform the way crops are grown to improve yields in a sustainable way.

 

What are their visions? To bring greater food security and meet the needs of a global population that is expected to reach 9 billion by 2050, and help to overcome increasing pressure on limited resources such as land, water and energy. Maintaining soil fertility, water efficiency and biodiversity conservation is a priority for both the company and their stakeholders. Other important issues are business integrity, labor rights, responsible supply chain, environmental efficiency, health and safety, talent attraction and retention, and community engagement.

 

Syngenta works with smallhold farmers in Kenya teaching them innovative new farming methods to increase their productivity

Syngenta cares about sustainable farming, and uses inovation to fuel new more enviromnetally friendly farming methods

Syngenta's aim is to draw profit from its technology, R&D and marketing base within the tripple bottom line framework
